Carbotherm 3300

Made to Order or imported lines subject to availability.

Carbotherm 3300 is a ceramic blend insulative composite coating formulated using a high temperature resistant acrylic binder.
It is ideally suited as a protective heat barrier to shield personnel from hot surfaces. It also inhibits heat transfer into or out of a structure. Its insulative properties keep structures exposed to solar radiation significantly cooler. It can be used to minimize or eliminate sweating of pipes or other operating equipment

FEATURES:

  • Excellent thin-film insulation
  • Unique formula provides superior coverage during application
  • Protects personnel from hot surfaces
  • Multi-purpose interior/exterior coating
  • Insulation provides anti-condensation properties
  • Easy to use
  • Zero VOC; Low odour at application
  • May be applied to hot surfaces

Thermaline 450

Highly cross-linked, glass-flake filled polymer that offers exceptional barrier protection and resistance to wet/dry cycling at elevated temperatures. Suitable for insulated or uninsulated pipes (refer to Limitations), stacks and equipment operating up to 232°C. This coating provides excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion and permeation, and its novolac-modification resists severe chemical attack. This extreme performance product has decades of performance and is recommended for CS-1,3,4 and SS-1,2,3 systems of NACE SP0198 Standard Practice for coatings to control corrosion under insulation (CUI).

FEATURES:

  • Temperature resistance up to 232°C
  • High-build single-coat capabilities
  • Excellent resistance to thermal shock
  • Superior abrasion and chemical resistance
  • Glass flake reinforcement
  • Ambient-temperature cure

Thermaline 4700 Aluminium

High-performance finish for areas exposed to extreme temperatures. Suitable for service from 204°C-538°C (400°F-1000°F). Requires heat curing.

FEATURES:

  • Resistant to severe thermal shock
  • Provides outstanding long-term performance when applied over Carbozinc inorganic zinc primers
  • Provides barrier protection prior to heat curing (full film physical properties occur after heat curing)

Thermaline 4900 Aluminium

Air-dried coating suitable for high temperature exposures up to 273°C (525°F). Air-drying characteristics allow for faster handling of in-shop applications than with other high-temperature coatings. Heat cure above 150°C (300°F) is recommended and will impart added strength and integrity to the coating.

FEATURES:

  • Temperature resistance up to 273°C (525°F)
  • Single-coat application
  • Excellent resistance to thermal shock
  • Good weathering and colour stability

Thermaline Heat Shield

Made to order or imported product subject to availability.

This is an extreme performance coating for hot, cryogenic and cycling exposures. Thermaline Heat Shield contains a unique blend of plate-like reinforcing pigments fortified with an inert polymeric matrix. The resulting film provides an outstanding barrier against corrosives and harsh exposures typically seen in elevated temperature environments. This versatile coating is ideal for all piping, vessels and equipment operating from cryogenic conditions up to 650°C (1200°F). It is particularly well suited to prevent corrosion under insulated equipment/piping for both carbon steel substrates and stainless steels. This fortified coating has superior shop handling properties over standard silicone coatings (see Curing). It is recommended for CS-6 and SS-5 systems of NACE SP0198 Standard Practice for coatings to control corrosion under insulation (CUI).

FEATURES:

  • Unique reinforced but flexible polymer film
  • Versatile use from cryogenic to 650°C (1200°F) exposures
  • Dries to handle without heat cure (See curing schedule)
  • Outstanding barrier properties
  • Protects steel from thermal wet cyclic conditions
  • Suitable for both shop and field application
  • Provides corrosion protection even with ambient temperature cure
  • Self priming or apply over Carbozinc 11 primers when uninsulated
  • Protects stainless steels from chlorides and stress corrosion cracking
  • Very fast recoat times
