Altra~Shield WB-V Primer Finish

A two-pack low VOC, waterborne epoxy gloss finish. The cured film is non-yellowing with high surface hardness and excellent flexibility. It exhibits excellent adhesion and water resistance and is tolerant of application over damp surfaces. It has excellent solvent resistance which makes it very resistant to graffiti. Self-priming over concrete, plaster, and fibre cement substrates.
Recommended for interior use or in-service conditions not directly exposed to extended periods of sunlight.
The low VOC and exceptionally low odour makes it an ideal coating for food process areas, hygiene areas and laboratories.

Carboguard 1340

Penetrating primer/sealer for use on concrete substrates and Carboline Pyrocrete Fireproofing products. It performs extremely well in sealing cementitious surfaces and is designed to receive a variety of different generic types of finish coats. Some recommended uses of 1340 include the use as a curing compound or form release agent. When applied to “green” concrete it will retard the escape of moisture during the cure period. Pre~Fab

Pre~Fab Steel Shop Primer is a fast dry, economical, primer designed for use in engineering fabrication shops.

Advantages:   Fast dry allows rapid handling of coated steel. It is suitable as a stand-alone coating in mild interior environments and provides good protection to structural steel in moderate exterior environments when topcoated with compatible alkyd or acrylic coatings.

Limitations of Use: Not designed for extended exterior exposure.

RIPO

Rust Inhibiting Protective Oil is a drying “wetting oil” pre-treatment, for use on hand or power tool cleaned surfaces and sometimes with brush blasted surfaces, prior to application of (usually)  High Build Rust Barrier.

RIPO forms a water resistant film and is useful in protecting steel from condensation corrosion, as encountered in particular on:

  • Interior of vehicle doors and body panels
  • Underside of surfaces on appliances, such as freezers and washing machines
  • Marine topsides
  • Excellent rust treatment as part of a single pack coating system on; Agricultural machinery and various pieces of equipment, trailers, structural steel

Use RIPO as the first stage in restoring items as listed above. Once cured apply High Build Rust Barrier, followed by Isotal Enamel to achieve long term protective and cosmetic properties.
